Send confirmation codes via Twilio
What is Twilio
To enable Twilio for your web application, follow these steps:
- As a product administrator, go to Product Settings > Twilio and press "Connect." If you do not see the "Connect" button, it means you do not have the product administrator role. Go to Product Settings > General to see who is your product administrator. Compare administrator roles.
- Enter integration details and press "Save." Learn where to find them on Twilio.
- Press "Edit" next to "Account" section.
- Select a phone number that will be used to identify a sender.
- Press "Save."
Once you connect the integration, confirmation codes for Wi-Fi login will be delivered by SMS in addition to email.
SMS can only be delivered if a user has indicated a phone number on Profile page.
SMS does not replace email — your members will receive confirmation codes to both places.
Only confirmation codes for Wi-Fi login are delivered by SMS. For security reasons, confirmation codes to log in to your web or mobile application are sent by email only.
If SMS is not arriving, ensure you have sufficient account balance in Twilio.
