Understand active users
Updated over a week ago

Every andcards subscription includes a certain number of active users. You can see how many active users your plan includes on the Network Settings > Subscription page. The included active users are not billed additionally and are included in your subscription fee.

If you exceed the number of active users included in your plan, additional active users come in packages. You can see the size and price of additional active user packages on the Network Settings > Subscription page.

Definitions

An active user is someone who actively engages with your application, creating value for your business. Users who download your app and don't interact with it (i.e., only view contents) aren't considered active and don't count toward your subscription.

The owner, administrators, members, and nonmembers are users.

Active User Models

There are two active user models. Starting August 2023, new andcards subscriptions use the new model. All subscriptions started before August 2023 use the legacy model.

If you are on andcards legacy pricing model, using andcards public API is counted as one active user per app. It's counted this way only if you have performed any action with public API within the current month.

Counting active users

  • Visitors are only counted as active users if they meet the activation criteria. For example, if they book a room or sign up for a plan following the visit. The visitor registration doesn't activate the visitor user.

  • Active users are counted at the entire app level regardless of the number of locations.

  • Active users are only counted once. In other words, if a user does two activities within the same billing period, it still counts as one active user.

  • Active users don't roll over to the next billing period. Every billing period starts counting activities anew.

Downloading active users

You can see and download active users on the Network Settings > Subscription page.
